A new documentary on the development of Hungarian politics in the last 20 years is screened for the first time on the 28th of July at Bem Mozi in Budapest. State Capture: The story of Hungary 1988-2018 offers an overview of how Hungary has become an ‘illiberal democracy’ with insights from a wide range of commentators, including Gaspar Miklos Tamas, Reka Kinga Papp, Gabor Balogh and Zsuzsa Szelenyi.
